Xu(4) Guozhen [10024] Author of the medical text Yu yue yuan fang, finished in 1266? (Ding Fubao, 500b-501a). Fled from Jiangzhou at end of Jin and temporarily lived in Taiyuan. In 1253, he accompanied the Mongol army in the Yunnan campaign, in 1259 he accompanied Qubilai's army's investiture of Ezhou and saved many Song people from execution. In 1260, he was appointed Taiyi yuan tidian and in 1266 awarded a golden tiger talley (probably for completing the medical work cited above). In 1275 he was appointed to President of the Board of Rites (Libu shangshu). He died at the age of 76, which suggests that he was born before 1234 and therefore could not have lived past 1309.
