Gong(2) Shenyi [10190] An official under the Southern Tang, he followed Li(2) Yu(2) [3551] in submitting to Song andd received an office. His son, Zhi [10192], moved to Suzhou and established a separate branch (jia=b) of this lineage, whereas his nephew, Ying [10191], remained in Shaowu and the stem branch of the lineage (jia=a) continued produce jinshi in Shaowu. Both branches are listed for jinshi in Shaowu until the end of the eleventh century, but the Suzhou histories only list the Suzhou branch members. CBD, 5, 4505. |
