Chen(1) Chong(2) [11084] Fujian TZ, 148.11a. He and Chen(1) Cizong [11085] and Cizong's younger brother Ciyan [11086] all received facilitated degrees in this year. Zhang(1) Shangying [272] replaced Cai(1) Jing [1649] as Chief Minister between 1110 and 1111, and Cai(1) Jing did not return to the capital until the fifth month of 1112. This was the time that Chen(1) Cisheng [11080] (qv) was rehabilitated (a Yuanfu coalition member) and all three had the same generational names and address as Cisheng (Chong's original minzi was Cilong and was changed by imperial decree, probably because of the dragon). I am assuming that all three are lineage cousins and part of a general amnesty since coalition member's relatives were prohibited from taking the civil service exams. |
