Li(2) Ying(2) [1119] Ancestors were Longxi jun Li(2) descendants of the Tang imperial prince, Jishui wang. His Song dynasty ancestor used classicist pursuits (ruxue) to establish this family (qijia) branch of the lineage and his great grandfather Zhang [985], who retired from the civil service as Taichang shaoqing, was the first to earn the jinshi. Ying was Biru's [1070] son. Ying's funerary inscription clearly identifies Biru as having been Liangzhe yunfu under Huizong. Ying entered the service by Biru's yin, and was buried in Huzhou, Wucheng xian. His father-in-law was the famous Wenzhou, Yongjia xian literati (mingshi) and Neo-Confucian scholar Zhou(1) Xingyi [3244]. Ying's son, Jie [3482], was dismissed to a temple sinecure from his post as Hubei yunfu in 1190 and was Sichuan zongling in 1191.
