Diao(1) Kui [11931] He was prefect of Guangzhou (Guangdong) and became very wealthy, and this wealth probably became the basis of the Danyang Diao's prominence as an illustrious lineage of South China (Zhang Fangping, 39.26a) although none of its members appear in the historical record after his son Hong was executed by Liu(2) Yu [12175] until Yanneng [11925] became an important official under the Southern Tang.
