Cai(1) Chong [12043] According to the Song shiyi, he was a lineage nephew of Jing [1649], but his generational name would make him a great grandnephew. The former makes more chronological sense, but this may be a senior branch of the lineage. Cong was fond of chatting about ghosts and spirits and when Jing's coalition (dang) recommended him to the court he arrived wearing the robes of a taoist priest. He rose to a postion as a drafting official concurrently reader in the imperial seminar. After the first time Jing left his position, he was attacked and lost his office.
