Yang(2) Jie [12362] Eighth generation descendant of Feng [12361] (9th generation descendant by my way of counting). He served in the administration of the Xianbi Murong rulers of the kingdom of Yan (or Yan dynasty), which controlled most of Southern Manchuria, Hebei and Shandong for a period after the fall of the Western Jin. See Zhou Jiayou, 4.473. Jie was made Xiang (Chief Minister of Zhongshan) and threreby founded the Zhongshan branch of the Hongnong Yang. His two sons, Zhen(3) [12363] and Ji(3) [12364] established two branches (here (a) for Zhen(3) and (b) for Ji(3). See Zhen(3) and Ji(3) for further documentation. |
