Zheng(1) Hang [12723] Fujian TZ, 149.27a has him as the elder brother of Shi [12726], who received the jinshi in 1166. CBD has him as the son of E [12725], who received the jinshi in 1160 and who was the second nephew of Dian [12724], who passed the eight conduct evaluation in 1112 (listed as jinshi in Fujian TZ, 148.9b). The Sanshan zhi, 31.17b has Hang as being a member of the root lineage (benzu) of Shi and Tianlin [12727] (respectively the son and grandson of Bing [12722]). Since it is doubtful (but not immpossible) that an elder brother would pass the jinshi 30 years after his younger brother, I take Hang as an elder cousin of Shi from a cadet branch of this lineage and as son of E. E moved to Mingzhou, Yinxian, which is listed as the migrant residence of Hang. This would explain Yuan(1) Xie's funerary inscription for Shi's sister, wife of Li(2) Song(3) [12730], who was the Suzhou resident son of Li(2) Mixun [1062]. CBD, 5, 3652. |
