Wang(2) Pi [12847] This is clearly the father-in-law of Wen(2) Yanbo's [1953] father, Ji [12112]. The chronological logic comes out perfect and the addresses would be what one would expect. However, Wen(2) Yanbo has Pei as an official and Ouyang Xiu's inscription for his grandson and Wang(2) Gongchen's [1847] father, Daishu [12850], has Pei as a wealthy resident w/o office. I am assigning office, but it is possible that what Wen(2) Yanbo refers to is a posthumous office. See documentation for kin. Pei moved to Kaifeng. Since Liu(2) Chang's inscription for Gongchen has the Taiyuan Wang moving around since Ba [12116], the designation of ancestral address is arbitrary and probably incorrect. A further check may clarify matters. |
