Ruan(1) Sidao [14212] Fujian TZ, 146.8a. The primary source for the reconstruction of this lineage is Chao(2) Yuezhi's [3029] funerary inscription for the wife of Chen(1) Zao [14220] (q.v. for documentation), granddaughter of Ruan(1) Sidao's nephew, Zhongdu [14214]. According to Yuezhi, three brothers, Tong [14219] (Chen(1) Zao's father-in-law) and Tong's elder brothers, Mo [14216] and Yi [14215], were all jinshi [Tong in Jiayou period]. Yi is listed as was Sidao, his son Changling [14213] and his nephew Zhongdu, as a Jianyang resident. Mo and two cousins, Zun [14217] and Shu [14218], are listed as Jianan residents and Tong does not appear in the Fujian TZ jinshi list. Since Jianan and Jianyang were contiguous counties, I am assuming 1) that the change was not a move but a redrawing of the county boundaries and 2) that the residence of the lineage remained in the territory of modern Jianyang. I also am assuming that Tong was not listed because he had moved to Zhengxian, home of his son-in-law. CBD, 2, 1081. |
