Chen Ziyuan [14262] YLDD, 3145.16b-18a. We have no way of reconciling the following: Zhang(1) Shunmin, in the funerary inscription preserved in YLDD identifies a Chen(1) with a zi, Ziyuan, but without mingzi, as the yongest son of Chen(1) Guan [correct addresses and offices], whereas Bi Zhongyou identifies the husband of born Li(2) as Anli, youngest son of Guan, but with zi, Zhengshu, and entirely different sons and son-in-laws and as a yinju, whereas Ziyuan earned the jinshi and had an official career. I assume that both these men were sons of Guan and that one or the other was a different from Anli. We identify husband of Li(2) as Anli(2) and the other as Anli and each as different sons of Guan.
