Chen(1) Bing [14292] Ye Shi quotes Bing's son, Qiqing [10881], who traces ancestry back to Shi(2) [12823], an early Yingchuan Chen(1). Qiqing claims kin with the northern Song Linhai jinshi, Chen(1) Yifan [10547] and Yixu [10548]. No describes his grandfathers (ie. grandfather and granduncle), Bin(3) [24360] and Bing(6) [24361] as classicist teachers (ru xiansheng). Qiqing also stated that the lineage moved from Wuzhou to Taizhou, Yifan and Yixu being the first distinguished names (zhuming) of the lineage. I reconstruct the lineage as follows: Chen(1) L [24358] was a lineal descendant of Shi(2) [12823], and moved from Wuzhou to Taizhou, Linhai county, Chen(1) M [24359] as the father of Yifan and Yixu and as the the great grandfather of Bin(3), Bing(6), and Zhu(3) [14406] (designated in Chicheng zhi, 34.3b as the younger brother of Qiqing's grandfather), and these three as all uncles of Bing, although Bin(3) or Bing(6) must have been his father.
