Cheng(1) Lingxi [15355] According to Zhou Jiayou, 4.471, the Xinan Cheng begin with Lingxi and nobody knows where they came from. However, Zhou Bida, in his funerary inscription for descendant, Dachang [3109], says that they all originated with the ancestors of the Guangping Cheng after they segemented into branches that spread throughout the empire. Lingxi is the first notable in the Huizhou FZ and only one of two pre-Song notables. Lingxi probably is related to the Huizhou, Xixian Cheng, who trace their ancestry to Yuantan [15376], who moved to Xixian in 317 from Guangping when Yuantan was prefect and the people requested that he remain at the end of his term.
