Jiang(3) Junming [16141] He presented an essay on coalitions (dang) of junzi and xiaoren and Shenzong appointed him to office. His ancestors moved from Changzhou to Mingzhou. According to Chen(1) Zhu's [10543] inscription for descendant, Wen [16154] (q.v.), after moving to Ming, this branch of the lineage produced classicists and jinshi that made Chen(1) Zhu's xiang distinguished (wang). I am assuming that he is descended from either Xu's [16121] son, Jiang(3) Cheng [16124], or his 10th generation descendant, Xiu [16126]. According to Lou(2) Yue [3624], in his funerary inscription for Junming's grandaugter, wife of Lou(2) Tang [3620], Junming's father was Kan [16167], a yinde, and that at least up to this point they were an illustrious lineage of Mingzhou. In other words, the move from Yixing took place before Kan's generation and, perhaps, before the Song. CBD, 5, 3779. |
