Yu(9) A [17629] According to Chen(1) Liang [3075], in his funerary inscription for Yu(9) Shi [17639] (q.v.), among the Sichuan Qianjing (i.e. Lingjing) Yu(9), who scatterd to Zhejiang, only those who settled in Yiwu county became illustrious. There is no indication of the date of the move and the 980 year assigned is completely arbitrary. It should be noted that there are distinguished He(2) families in both Yiwu and Lingjing and that the Yiwu Yu(9) and He(2) were members of the same kindred group. It is possible that branches of the Lingjing He(2) and Yu(9) migrated together to Yiwu. The migration pattern, is puzzling at best. |
