Gong(4) Fa [17980] Ye Shi, WJ, 14.260-61 (wife, born Yang(2)); Lu You, WJ, 34.6b-7b (same wife, born Yang(2), who married him in 1147 at age 21, bore her first son, Feng [17981] (q.v.), in 1148; was widowed shortly after the birth of her second son, Rong [17982] (q.v.), in 1151, and died in 1194 at age 68 survived by her two sons, four grandsons and seven granddaughters). When widowed, the Gong(4) family apparently feared that she would remarry, but she purchased a small home and raised her boys--at one time requesting from the great classicist (daru) of Wuzhou, Mr. Lu (i.e. Lu(9) Zuqian [7055]), help in completing the education of her sons. Feng, as a youth, accompanied the travels of the men of Lu(9) Zuqian. Lu You's funerary inscription not cited in CBD. CBD, 5, 3717. |
