Bi(1) Chen [18370] Identified as a Kingdom of Wei person in Renming Da cidian because he served Cao(1) Cao (not in dataset), but this still nominally Eastern Han. For pre-Tang genealogy of this lineage, see Zhou Jiayou, 4.467-470. This is a good example of a lineage in which one branch emerges as distinguished in NanBei chao, a younger brother's descendants become important in Tang with a collateral branch producing a zaixiang, then the main branch of this group emerging again in Song. |
