Xue(1) Bian(2) [18775] His great grandson, Jushi [18780] (or Jubao) (q.v.), was the granduncle of Xue(1) Jixuan [10578] (Xue Jixuan, WJ, 33.2b). Since none of Jushi's immediate ancestors coincide with those of Jixuan, Jushi must have been a lineage (second) granduncle descended from the common ancestor of this lineage, Lingzhi [10556] of Tang. There are no records of the move to Mingzhou so Bian(2) was an undocumented lineal descendant of Lingzhi and Jushi was a documented lineage (second) grandnephew of Jushi. Bian(2) and his descendants constitute jia 'd' of this lineage. |
