Zeng(1) Fa [19104] Hymes, p. 322, identifies Fa as a member of the same lineage as the other Nanfeng Zeng(1), but there are no documented links. Hymes is almost certainly correct, and I identify Fa as a Lineage kin (tongzu+) of Zhiyao [16579], 1st Song Nanfeng Zeng(1) jinshi. Jian's [21721] father, Fa(2) [21720], a Nancheng Zeng(1), is probably not the same person [he was granted office by edict of grace after multiple attempts at the jinshi and, Jian's father died after Jian had begun an official career that was cut short by his early death at age 42 in 1206, which would make this Fa an extremely old man]. However, Ye(1) Shi's funerary inscription for Jian makes the Fuzhou (Jiangxi) fang a segemented branch of the Jiangnan, Fujian and Zhejiang Zeng(1), which suggests that all these Jianchang and Linchuan Zeng(1) probably considered themselves members of the same large branch lineage (fang).
