Feng(4) Zhun [20509] According to Yuan Fu's funerary inscription for Feng(4) Xingzong [20526] (q.v.), who died in 1237 at age 62, the Feng had lived in Ciqi for seven generations, which would place the arrival of the lineage's ancestor during the generation before Zhun, who was the first Ciqi Feng(4) jinshi. However, Huang Zongxi, WJ, 5.79-82, identifies Yanlu (Mi) [27094], as the first Cixi Feng(4), which means that seven generations must mean seven generations on the Ciqi county registers. Since three generations of phsyical residence were required before an actual change in benguan, this would make Zhun a great grandson of Mi, which is chronologically logical. I am, therefore, identifying all the Ciqi county Feng(4) jinshi as members of the same lineage. Ningpo FZ, 17.1076. |
