Lu(5) Deqian [20538] According to Lu(5) Jiuyuan's [3632] funerary inscription for his brother, Jiuling [20584] (q.v.), Deqian and his younger brother, Desheng (not in dataset), fled from disturbances in the Suzhou area at the end of the Five Dynasty period and bought land in Fuzhou, which was carefully managed to produce wealth and establish the lineage as elite (gao) in the community. Desheng's descendants moved and became scattered and there is no record as to what happened to them, but Deqian became the founder (zu) of the Jinqi Lu(5). |
