Shao(2) Lingjin [20860] According to the funerary inscriptions for his grandson, Gu [20862] (q.v.), and great grandson, Yong [3718] (q.v.), he was a skilled archer and horseman, who served in the command of Zhao(1) Taizu [9001] and moved his family from Fanyang to Hengzhang. Hengzhang refers to the Jiangshui river which flows into the Zhangshui near the counties of Wuyi and Hengshui in Jizhou, Hebei. He obviously moved to this area and I arbitrarily make him a Jizhou, Wuyi immigrant. He seems to have been illiterate since his son, Dexin [20861], is explicitly described as having learned to read (dushu). |
