Shi(4) Xuan(3) [21067] Fujian TZ, 147.13a. According to the Shishi zupu, 'shuo,' pp. 1, 2, 'Shishi shang shizu shixi,' p. 1, his mingzi was Xuan, which means that either he or the compilers of the local histories made the mingzi Sun (also pronounced Xun) by dropping radical 162, which is the generational indicator of his brother, Zun [21068]. I take the genealogy as authorative here. According to Shishi zupu, 'shuo,' p. 2, he was born in 1002 and died in 1075 and earned the jinshi in 1034, which would make it likely (and more in accord with the biography of his younger brother, Zun, that Fujian TZ errs and that he earned the jinshi, not a facilitated degree, in 1034. His wife, born Chen, was born in Tianyou (sic Tianxi) 1, 1017 and died in 1065 and was buried with him according to Shishi zupu, 'shuo,' p. 2. |
