Tang(1) Shizhong [21494] Jiangxi TZ, 22.36a has Sizhong as jinshi in 1211, but the substitution of Song period homonyms Si for Shi was a common copying error. Shizhong is identified as Han's [21495] father in CBD, 4, 2779 and a Yan is identified as his father in CBD, 4, 2774 (with a posthumous title). Han is also identified as Qian's [21491] nephew. My guess is that there was a change in mingzi, possibly owing to an adoption--Qian, for example, had no surviving sons. Shizhong might also be a nephew, rather than son, of Dewei(zi) [21490]. Since Han has the same generational indicator for his mingzi as the sons of Qian, I will treat Shizhong as a son of Dewei(zi). |
