Tao(1) Shunzi [21555] Ge Shengzhong in his funerary inscription for Shunzi's son, Zhifu [3833] (q.v.), identifies both Shunzi and Zhifu as jinshi, but neither appears in the Jiangxi TZ jinshi list. There is a Jiangzhou, Pengze jinshi, Ye [21557], listed for 1079, who may be the same person as Shunzi--although Zhifu was buried in Dean, he could still have been a Pengze resident. Jiefu [21556], son of Shunqing, who was probably Shunzi's brother since their grandfathers both served in the miltary service, also identified as a descendant of Tao(1) Kan [21552], is listed as a 1097 Raozhou, Poyang jinshi (the original ancestors of the Xinyang Tao were Poyang residents), but his mother was buried in Jiangzhou, Dean county and the Poyang identification may be anachronistic. I am going to leave both Shunzi and Zhifu as undated jinshi; Jiefu as a Jiangzhou, Dean jinshi, and Ye [21557] as a Pengze jinshi, descended from Kan. |
