Wang(2) Yanying [22128] He was a kinsman of Wang(2) Chao(2) [3937], who founded the kingdom of Min. Yanying followed Chao(2) to Fujian and his family settled in Fuzhou, Changle county. Yanying and his son, Renkan [22129], traveled to Korea where they served in the administration of Xinluo (Silla). Renkan's son, Bin(3) [1859] (q.v.), entered the Song imperial university on the foreign student quota at age 18 and earned the jinshi in 992. I am identifying Yanying as a lineage (third) nephew of Chao(2) although the generation is not indicated. |
