Sun(1) Shu(3) [25443] According to Ye Shi's funerary inscription for son, Chunnian [25444] (q.v.), Shu(3) and his father and grandfather were not illustrious and Shu(3) was the first to send his son, Chunnian, to school. This may be typical Ye Shi's pattern of downgrading distinguished ancestry since Shu'sgreat great granduncle, Mian(2), served in the state council under Renzong and Chunnian, without earning the jinshi or holding office, was able to marry his daughter to Shi(5) Mizhong, jinshi and nephew of Hao and cousin to Miyuan. His granddaughters married Shi(5) Mizhong's son, Nizhi, and imperial clansman, Zhao(1) Yuzhao. |
