Wu(3) Yanyi [26142] The patriarch of this Wu(3) lineage, he built a a library called 'book tower' (shulou), which became the basis for the increasing educational capital of the family in successive generations until three of his great grandsons and two of his great great grandsons earned the juren, and great great grandsons earned the jinshi. Great great grandson, Wu(3) Yong [13809], records with great poignancy how this culminated in war and epidemic (yi) nearly wiping out the generation of Yanyi's great great grandsons.
