Dugu(1) Yongye [32911] He was born a Liu(2), but when his father died, his mother, Dugu(1) returned to her family and his surname was changed to Dugu. How this worked is not clear, but our guess is that he became the heir of Ji(2) [32911], who was probably a maternal uncle. In any event, he became the ancestor of all the Tang Dugu(1).
