Diao(1) Shi [3844] There is a Jiangning, Shangyuan county Diao listed for jinshi in Jingxue zhi with Shi and Zhan [1634] receiving the degree in 1106, Wei(2) [11926] getting it in 1118 (an exact century later), Yue [1635] getting it in 1135, etc. These names are not recorded in the Jingding Jiankang zhi and we can assume that they are misdated and anachronistically placed in the Jiangning list (ancestors from Jiangning). Other details are, however, correct. Therefore, since Shi appears as having earned the jinshi in the same year as Zhan, I record as jinshi in 1000. The other Diao jinshi are dated.
