Zheng(1) Ji(2) [410] His ancestors moved to Huzhou, Changxing xian during the Five Dynasties. None of his immediate patrilineal ancestors for four generations held office. His father rejected study for the jinshi in order to read widely in Buddhist texts. Ji's brother became a Buddhist monk. According to the Wuxing zhi, 17.14a, Ji graduated from the imperial medical college (Tai yixue); Zhejiang TZ, 124.23a; XNYL, 108.10b; Liu Yizhi, WJ, 50.20a-22a (father's inscription). |
