Zhou(1) Jiazheng [480] His ancestors moved from Huazhou, Huayin xian to Sichuan. His father, Jingshu [3241], held office under the Meng rulers of Shu. After the incorporation of Shu into the Song empire, Jingshu had an active career that ended when he was prefect of Taizhou, and the family subsequently settled in Hailing xian. Jiazheng used the jinshi to establish his family (qijia) branch of the lineage. According to Wang Anshi, he passed the exams as did his elder and younger brothers. Jiangnan TZ, 119.8b has a Zhou(1) Jiazhen, who earned the jinshi during the Chunhua period as a Taizhou jinshi. Jiazheng was a member of the group opposed to the coalition led by Ding(1) Wei [1641]. During the Jin invasions, the direct descendants of Jingshu moved to Suzhou, Changshu xian. They were collateral kin of Zhou(1) Nan [7196] (qv). Zhi's [481] great grandfather, who has the same generational name as Zhong [485]. The fathers-in-law of Jiazheng's son, Yanxian [3250], were Sheng(1) Jing [3739] and Wang(2) Guanzhi [3965], respectively, Sheng(1) Du's [8109] elder cousin and Wang(2) Anshi's [1762] granduncle.
