Fan(2) Yinzhi [590] Yin-x is a generational name of the great grandsons of Fan(2) Zhongyan [8043], but Yinzhi's father-in-law, Sun(1) Zongjian(2) [21435] was directly recruited by Fan(2) Tang [582], a Jianning, Pucheng jinshi, which explains the connection as well as the reason that Yinzhi and his elder brother, Yinfu [12973], are listed as entering by yin in Fujian TZ without any indication as to the kin providing the yin. Pucheng county is not listed in the yin section of the Fujian TZ and I assume that Yinzhi and his brother were both Pucheng, rather than Jianyang, county residents and sons of Tang.
