Xu(3) Hongzhong [755] His father, Shihui [3380], moved from Jianning, Ouning xian to Hezhou, Liyang xian. Shihui's wife, Lin(1) Shi, was from Jianning, Jianan xian. Her immediate three patrilineal ancestors did not hold office. Her father, Hanzhang [3571], for the first time educated her brother, Yan [3576], who used the jinshi to establish the family (qijia). Fan(2) Tong(1) [583] was Shihui's son-in-law. Hongzhong was Shi's [764] grandson and Lin's [763] father. Hongzhong's other son, Jing [3378], was the famous envoy to Koryo, who left us a record of the trip. Hongzhong's uncle, Shimin [3381], moved to Suzhou when his father Shi was Tongpan. Lin also moved to Suzhou after he received his jinshi in 1121, and Jing was buried in Xinzhou, Yiyang xian. All three of Jing's sons died early and he used another brother's son as heir.
