註: |
Chen(1) Yi(15) [15197] This is an excellent example of the functioning of the extended lineage. According to Chen(1) Fuliang [10585], the lineage buildings were erected in the Xiande period of the Later Zhou during the Five Dynasties. While many had been rebuilt since that time, the lineage remained here for the past two centuries and that the homes of both Chen(1) Fuliang's lineage granduncle, Yi(15), and that of Fuliang's father, Bin [10584], were built on the same foundation. Yi(15) was very skilled in managing his family's affairs (zhi jiashi). His son #1, Fuzhong [15198], was interested in Buddhism. Neither sons nor grandsons held public office and neither, apparently, did their sons-in-law although they have surnames common to other Ruian gentry lineages as did their wives. Fuliang's other lineage granduncle (shutsu), Shao(2) [25389], has the same generational name as Yi(15), and their sons and grandsons also share the same generational indicators. I am assuming that Shao and Yi(15) were brothers and that both were nephews of Fuliang's great grandfather, Jing(4) [14280]. YLDD, 3155.8b-9a; Chen Fuliang, WJ, 50.2a. CBD, 3, 2527. |
